It is hard to believe that our summer is almost over, but I’m certain students are beginning to feel the excitement of a new school year. We are ready to have students back in our classrooms and filling the hallways with laughter and friendship. Our fantastic custodial staff has been busy this summer preparing to welcome students back to a safe and clean school, and our teaching staff has been busy this summer evaluating student testing data and identifying new strategies to support our students’ journey to academic success. It has been a busy summer!
As the 2019-20 school year begins, much information will be shared with you through our website and through social media outlets like Twitter and Facebook. Because it is our goal to communicate as efficiently as possible, we will utilize online communication methods to share information. I encourage you to check the Midview website frequently and follow us on Twitter to stay up-to-date with East Intermediate news, information and upcoming events. This year, the Midview Schools will be celebrating back-to-school on August 22 at Midview Middle School from 5-7pm. At this event, students will get their HR assignment for the upcoming school year but also enjoy ice cream, dunk tank, balloon animals, food truck, live DJ and much more. It will be a great celebration to kick off the new school year. We look forward to seeing you there!
The Midview School District also has an online parent portal called OneView in which you will find the district's annual student forms that previously would have been turned in on paper the first week of school. Please be sure to visit the Midview School District website for more information on OneView and how you can fill out information online. Please keep in mind, all forms must be completed through OneView. Additionally, Free and Reduced Lunch applications are also available on the Midview School District website. Please take a moment to complete the application prior to the start of the school year to receive free and reduced lunch benefits.
I am honored to serve as the principal of East Intermediate and truly feel privileged to work in a community where parents, teachers and students work together to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth.
