OUR SCHOOLS
The Midview Schools are located on a central campus that includes three new Elementary Schools that opened in 2005 to serve grades K-6, Midview Middle School for grades 7-8, and Midview High School, which has been rated Excellent by the State the last three years, serving grades 9-12. Transportation is provided to students in grades K-8.

Academically, the Midview Schools are proud to be a leading district in Lorain County reaching 25 of Ohio’s 30 statewide assessment indicators, placing us in the Effective range. Our experienced, dedicated staff focuses on providing students with a foundation in the basic skills, while offering a wealth of complementary programs and courses that encourage individual academic success and personal growth.

You’ll find our teachers and staff going above and beyond every day, from working after school with our students to help them excel academically, to seeking out community-supported grants to bring additional programming and equipment to make class and extra-curriculars come alive. Our staff cares about the well-being of each and every student in our schools—and it shows.

In addition, we’re committed to aligning all lesson plans directly to the State’s academic content standards, and infusing state-of-the-art technology into the classroom at all levels to help prepare our students for the future. Midview takes pride in its thriving arts, music, and athletic programming—helping to form our youth into the confident, well-rounded individuals that are the true hallmark of our district. We’re expecting more, achieving more.

OUR COMMUNITY
The Midview Local School District is the educational center to several communities including the village of Grafton, the rural areas of Carlisle, Eaton and Grafton townships, and the southern portion of the city of Elyria. Our location offers all of the special comforts of small-town living , with the convenience and ease of accessibility to downtown Cleveland and all the arts, sports, and shopping northeast Ohio has to offer.

In addition to the wonderful housing opportunities in our area, Midview takes pride in its plentiful parks, green space, and working farms that provide important outdoor exploration opportunities for the growing minds and bodies of our young people. The breadth of our community benefits our district through its special make-up of students, parents, community members, organizations, and businesses who share resources and engage in dialogue to further improve the quality of life in our area.
