The Midview High School “Make a Difference” Hall of Honor Student Selection Committee is pleased to announce the honorees of the first annual “Make a Difference” Hall of Honor celebrations.
The “Make a Difference” Hall of Honor is a creation of The Midview Schools to annually recognize Midview alumni, staff and volunteers whose exceptional achievements have added to the outstanding reputation of The Midview Schools. The goal of this program is to expose Midview's students to the achievements of district alumni and to connect them with role models who share the Midview heritage.
The “Make a Difference” Hall of Honor Student Selection Committee is comprised of 10 Midview High School students--four seniors, two juniors, two sophomores, and two freshmen—who met on Thursday, March 6 th to review each nominee. After much discussion and thought, they then selected five alum and one retired staff member for this honor. Inductees for the 2008 “Make a Difference” Hall of Honor are:
- Tom Batiuk, Class of ‘65
- Maureen (Ross) Cromling, Class of ‘66
- Ron Jantz, Class of ‘83
- Col. Scott Manning, Class of ‘82
- Henry Schriver, Class of ‘32
- Linda Motznik, Midview employee 1969-1999
The “Make a Difference” Hall of Honor inductees were honored during Midview Achievement Night on Monday, May 19 th , and during a special student assembly and luncheon the following day at
Midview High School. Nomination forms are available in every school building, at the administration offices, and online at www.MidviewK12.org. All nominations are due January 15th of each year. If a nominee is not selected, the individual may be re-nominated for consideration by the student committee the following year. Nominations may be submitted to the principal of Midview High School at 38199 Capel Road, Grafton, OH 44044.
