NEED SOME MOTIVATION? ... To kick off the school year, we have a special community presentation from an elite presenter in the field of motivation, athletic and business success. On Friday, August 27th, at 4:00 p.m. at North Elementary School, Mr. Bruce Boguski will be our featured speaker. Bruce’s presentations are uplifting, inspiring and extremely valuable to anyone who is hoping to do more, learn more, and to make this their best year. Parents of all students, community businesses, sports teams, and all individuals are invited to attend. Hot dogs and Pepsi Cola products will be available at no charge to the first 100 attendees that walk through the door. The presentation will be approximately one hour long. NEW WOMEN'S BASKETBALL COACH ... Scott Plzak was approved by the BOE at their last meeting as Midview High School's new Head Girl's Basketball Coach.  Plzak spent the last four seasons as the Head Girl’s Basketball Coach at Southview High School in Lorain.  Last year, he led the Saints to only their second District Championship in school history.  He was named both the 2010 Lorain Morning Journal Coach of the Year and the Lorain City School’s High School (all sports) Coach of the Year.  He also served as the Southview boy’s junior varsity coach for two years before joining the girl's program.  Prior to that, Plzak was Olmsted Falls High School’s junior varsity girl’s coach for three years.  He has been teaching at the elementary level in the Lorain City School District for the past 10 years.  The Bay Village native, who now resides in Avon, received his undergraduate degree from Adrian College and earned his teaching certificate from Ashland University.  Please mail Coach Plzak at splzak@roadrunner.com for information on joining the team. -posted 8/16/10 

SAVE THE DATE ... On Friday, August 13, the Midview High School Athletic Department will host its annual “Fall Sports Meeting” in Kubuski Gymnasium. That meeting, which parents and athletes are urged to attend, will begin at 6:30 p.m. with a 20-30 minute presentation from Athletic Director Creg Jantz. Immediately following that, each fall sport (excluding football) will break up for individual team meetings with the athletes and parents. MAHOF FUNDRAISER ... On September 17,
the Midview Athletic Hall of Fame (MAHOF) will be hosting a BBQ/Tail Gate dinner fundraiser prior to the Middies 7:00 p.m. football game with Vermilion to celebrate MAHOF's 10th anniversary and also raise funds for Play to Participate.  CLICK HERE for more information and to sign up as tickets are limited!  The funds are not designated toward any one sport. -posted 8/2/10

20010-2011 Midview School District Athletics Ticket Price Policy 

Varsity Football
            Presale (at MHS and MMS on game day Friday’s) – Students and Senior Citizens - $4
            Gate (No exceptions) - $5 for all tickets
 
All other Varsity Sports (alone, or combined with JV)
          Gate - $5 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens
 
All other Freshman or JV Sports (without Varsity)
          Gate - $3 for adults and $2 for students and senior citizens
  • All guests age of Kindergarten or above, must purchase a ticket
  • All Midview School employees is allowed one admission plus one guest. Must hold a valid pass.
  • Anyone holding a WSC pass is allowed admission plus one guest
**Due to rising costs, the Midview Schools have eliminated the free Senior Citizen pass at home games. Senior Citizens now pay the student price as their discount, and must purchase a pre-sale ticket for home games to receive the discounted price.
