4.20.09 Boys Basketball: This year the Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association received over 150 nominations for the Academic All-Ohio Boy’s Basketball Team. Congratulations to Brad Gross on receiving 1^st Team Academic All-Ohio for this year. The committee met in March and chose 10 players from each division.

3.5.09 Boys Basketball: Led by Nick Clark's 17 points, the Middies Boys' Basketball team advanced to the Sectional Finals last night with a solid 51-43 win over Valley Forge. Jordan English and Mike Mercado each chipped in with 8 points as the Middies will now take on Midpark Saturday night with a District berth on the line.

Tickets for the Middies Sectional Final game at Brecksville against Midpark are now on sale in the Main Office during the school day. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students. Come out and root the Middies on to the District Tournament on Saturday evening, game time is 7:45 pm at Brecksville High School.

2.13.09 Boys Basketball: Senior Post Brad Gross added 16 points for Midview, junior Nick Clark added 12 and senior Jordan English 11 as the Middies downed Rocky River 55-42 last night at Midview. The Middies bolted out to a 29-12 first half lead and never looked back in moving their record to 7-8 and 5-5 in the West Shore Conference. Pirate senior post Ryan Arnold led all scorers with 19 points, as the Pirates fell to 5-11 and 3-7 in the WSC.

1.30.09 Boys Basketball:

Junior Nick Clark poured in 15 points, and senior Cody Gunselman scored 9 as the Midview handed North Ridgeville their first WSC loss of the season, 49-40 last night at Midview. Junior Andrew Agee added 8 for the Middies, who held the WSC leading Rangers to 15 second half points. Jake Rigsby led the Rangers with 16 points, as he hit on 5 three-point field goals. The Middies now move to 5-7 and 3-4 in the WSC. North Ridgeville falls to 8-3 and 6-1 in the loop.

1/13/09: Boys Basketball Box - Cloverleaf at Midview – Junior forward Nick Clark netted 22 points, and senior post Brad Gross added 11, as Midview won their second straight contest, 68-51 over Cloverleaf. The Middies used a 36 point second half to pull away from the Colts. Midview moves to 3-4 overall, while Cloverleaf falls to 1-7.

Grafton, OH – The Midview Middies improved their WSC record to 5-0 and 10-0 overall as they defeated the Fairview Warriors 41-21 last night at Midview High School. The Middies received pins from junior Paige Gusky (135 lbs), sophomore Adam Davis (145 lbs), and junior Jeff Miller (171 lbs). Fairview drops to 3-2 in the West Shore Conference.

Senior Brad Gross added 9 points and seniors Jacob Klamut and Mike Mercado added 8 points. By junior John Urwin led all scorers with 18 points. The Middies move to 9-10, 6-7 in the WSC. Bay drops to 11-8, 6-7 in the WSC.
