RECORDKEEPING - This course will include the following practical recordkeeping topics: personal records and budgeting, personal banking, recordkeeping for cashiers and retail sales clerk. FEE REQUIRED

PERSONAL FINANCE - Learn to take care of your own independent living needs as you explore the daily world of checking accounts, credit cards, insurance, investments, home and auto purchases, renting apartments, etc. FEE REQUIRED

BUSINESS MANAGEMENT - This course is designed to meet the needs of diverse occupations. It's a must course for students interested in management, administration, marketing, advertising, information technology, banking, entrepreneurship, communications and various other business careers. FEE REQUIRED

ACCOUNTING - This course gives students a background and skills necessary for understanding, recording, and interpreting business transactions. Accounting is in all college business curriculums and highly suggested at the high school level before college. The course gives you the foundation to pursue a career in finance or management, to become a business owner, or open doors to many types of employment. FEE REQUIRED

Prerequisite: 1 unit of mathematics

WORD PROCESSING – This semester course provides training on the mastery of the alphabetic and numeric keyboards. You will be introduced to word processing principles and file management.

Elective: 10th , 11th & 12th grades

COMPUTER APPLICATIONS – Identify and explore the terminology associated with computer systems. Use the various application software such as word processing, spreadsheet and database. Students will integrate the types of software for small projects and applications.

Prerequisite: Word Processing (Keyboarding) at MMS or MHS

Elective: 9th , 10th , 11th , and 12th grades

Credit: ½ unit

Length: 1 semester

ADVANCED COMPUTER APPLICATIONS – Students will work to advance their word processing skills as well as work on spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. Students will integrate the types of software for small projects and applications.

Prerequisite: Computer Applications

Elective: 9th 2nd sem., 10th , 11th , & 12th grades

Credit: ½ unit

Length: 1 semester

COMPUTER PROGRAMMING – Learn the current computer programming language (Visual Basic) in this year-long course.

Prerequisite: C average in Geometry

Elective: 10th , 11th & 12th grades

Credit: 1 unit

Length: 1 year

INTERNET APPLICATIONS & PRESENTATIONS – The course will examine techniques for executing successful research. Ethics and presentation skills will be taught along with the uses of telecommunications. You will be required to formally present your research projects. This is an excellent college preparation course.
