A = 4
B = 3
C = 2 H = 5 (optional)
D = 1
F = 0
2. Nine week grading period routine for averaging
a. For year courses, give each grading period a weight of 3 and the final exam a weight of 2. Divide the accumulated points by the number of weighted grades (normally 14).
b. For semester courses, give each grading period a weight of 3 and the final exam a weight of 1. Divide the accumulated points by the number of weighted grades (normally 7).
c. Example:
Year Course:
| (3) | (3) | (3) | (3) | (2) | = 14 |
| A | B | B | C | C | |
| 12 | 9 | 9 | 6 | 4 | = 40 |
| Divide | 40 | by 14 | =2.86 |
Semester Course:
| (3) | (3) | (1) | = 7 | Grade Averages: | ||
| A | B | C | A = 3.51-4.0 | |||
| 12 | 9 | 2 | = 23 | B = 2.51-3.50 | ||
| C = 1.51-2.50 | ||||||
| Divide | 23 | by 7 | =3.28 | D = 0.57-1.50 | ||
| F = 0.00-0.56 | ||||||
d. To successfully pass a year course, it will be necessary to:
