For the second year in a row, MMS and East Intermediate will be partnering with the good people at the Effective Leadership Academy (ELA) to host a leadership camp for students in grades 5-8. This year's camp theme is "Fish Tank" where camp attendees will hone their leadership skills while playing fun games and activities.
Camp LEAD is offered at various school and community locations across the Greater Cleveland area and in Annapolois, Maryland. ELA's week-long camp is full of custom designed activities which allow campers to work on their social-emotional skills and develop their leadership skills. A new curriculum is presented each summer so return campers can continue on their path of leadership development and have a fun fullfilling experience.
Camp LEAD's Fish Tank theme for 2019 is inspired by the hit TV series, Shark Tank, and will utilize games and outdoor team building activities to encourage healthy competition and collaboration. Campers will be given daily challenges that will help them learn to pitch ideas and negotiate success. Campers will be encouraged to focus on goal-setting, creativity, networking, critical thinking, presentation skills, effective communication and the art of self-leadership.
Camp LEAD runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day from June 10-14.
Tuition is $275 per student through March 31, 2019 and then increases to $295.
