Little Free Library

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

We have some very exciting news to share here at Midview West! A Little Free Library has been added to our school building. Here is the important information you need to know about this new library.

What is it: Little Free Libraries are a global phenomenon. There are 60,000 of these small, front-yard book exchanges around the world and are located in 80 countries — from Iceland to Tasmania to Pakistan. Now, a new Little Free Library at Midview West in Grafton, Ohio will join the movement to share books, bring people together and create communities of readers. Each year, nearly 10 million books are shared in Little Free Libraries. To learn more, please visit littlefreelibrary.org.

When can the public use it: The Little Free Library is currently located out front of Midview West in between the North and West buildings.  It is available anytime anyone is in need of a book.

Who can use it: Anybody of any age is more than welcome to use the Little Free Library.

How it works: Drive to the school and help yourself to any book that is inside of the Little Free Library. Some people may follow the “take –a-book, leave- a- book” idea but you DO NOT have to put a book in the library in order to take one. We just love the idea of knowing that anyone can have reading materials at anytime! You may donate books as well to the library at any given time.

“Our Little Free Library doesn’t just belong to us, it belongs to the whole Midview Community. It’s our hope that this Little Free Library will bring a little more joy, a little more connection and a whole lot more books to our community.”
