The Middies finished with a 16-2 record and a captured the SWC Championship for the first time in school history.
Top-seeded Midview defeated Westlake in the first round, Avon in the semifinals and then Olmsted Falls in the championship game at Berea-Midpark Middle School.
The Lady Middies averaged 35 points as a team, outscoring their opponents on average by 10 points. Olivia DiFranco led Midview averaging 10 points. Hannah Foor contributed 7 points per game, while Alana Stacey and Erica Baldoza added 6 points per game.
Throughout the season, Coach Carissa Silva was impressed by their skill development, work ethic and resilience. What was most impressive was that they went from getting eliminated by the #1 seed in the first round of the tournament last year as 7th graders to being the #1 seed this year. They showed tremendous improvement as a team and individually over the course of two seasons.
Coach Silva, as well as the Midview community, is very proud of their historic accomplishments during the 2019-2020 season!
