Midview Local School District Offers Senior Citizens Free Sports Pass for 2019-20

Midview Local School District is excited to unveil its new admission policy for senior citizen residents who are 60 years or older beginning with the 2019-20 school year. Senior citizens will receive free admission to all regular season home sporting events (grades 7-12) and fine arts performances in the district.

Passes are available now at the Board Office for residents to pick up. To receive a pass, proof of residency must be shown (driver’s license or State ID card). The passes are available during the week from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each pass will be assigned to one individual and are not transferable. OHSAA Tournaments do not apply to these free passes. Replacement passes will be available for $10.

“MiddieNation has a tremendous fan base and our local senior citizens are an important piece of it,” said Dan May, Midview Athletics Director. “This new initiative is a small way that we can show our appreciation for this part of our community.”

Yearlong passes are also available for purchase. For nonresident senior citizens, the cost is $25. The price for adults is $100 and students is $50. Five-game passes are also available. The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for students. Passes will remain on sale at all non-varsity football high school sporting events and in the Athletic Office by appointment until Sept. 3. Once school begins, passes will be available in the Athletic Office between the hours of 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.

“We are very excited to offer this opportunity and recognize our senior citizens within the district,” said Superintendent Dr. Bruce Willingham. “We believe this will continue to keep our great community connected and we encourage all of those eligible to take advantage of the chance to come out and support our local schools and students.”
