Letter to Families - April 20

April 20, 2020

Dear Midview Staff and Families:

Whether you view the news as positive or negative, Governor DeWine announced today that schools will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.  As I have said previously, we expected this and I think it finally allows us to start planning for the future. We have already begun planning for the near and distant future.  We are going to be prepared to end the year on positive notes and we will be ready for the start of next year as well.

As I explained late last week, we have some great things in store for our students and families.  Tonight, we are going to take a moment to support our Seniors. At 8:20 pm (20:20 in Military time) we are joining a large number of school districts across the state in turning our stadium lights on for precisely 20 minutes and 20 seconds.  Show your support by putting your porch or house lights on and post some pictures. Our seniors deserve to be recognized and this is just one small part to show them we love and care about them. Use the hashtags, #IlluminateMiddieNation and #WeAreMidview.

There will also be a special announcement coming out tomorrow in regard to a staff parade.  Our staff is busy putting the finishing touches on the three different routes, but hopefully you’re around Friday as our Midview staff is going to be travelling the district sharing encouraging words, signs, waves, and smiles for our students and families.  Come outside and wave us along as we show our love and support for all our students. A flyer with routes and times will be coming out tomorrow.

Finally, be on the lookout for our “Save-the-Date” information coming out about: Prom, Commencement, Open Enrollment, and Kindergarten Registration.

Thank you and stay healthy,

Bruce
