Five Middies sign National Letters of Intent

Midview Athletics

Midview High School had five senior student-athletes sign their National Letter of Intent on Wednesday (November 11) morning inside Kubuski Gymnasium.
NCAA Division I recruits include Daniel Bucknavich (Wrestling), who will attend Cleveland State University, and Lindsey Frambach (Volleyball), who will attend Rider University. NCAA Division II recruits are Jonny Manning (Boys Basketball), who will attend Lake Erie College, Natalie Maver (Girls Soccer), who will attend Seton Hill University, and Marcella McMahon (Softball), who will attend Ursuline College.
The National Signing Period, which began November 13, is for student-athletes committing to play NCAA Division I or Division II athletics in sports other than football. According to a recent statistic provided by the NCAA, there are approximately 420,000 NCAA student-athletes each year. Of that, only 1 or 2% receive athletic aid to help offset all or a portion of their college expenses.

In order to sign an official National Letter of Intent, an athletic aid package must also be offered from the NCAA institution. Student-athletes who did not receive athletic aid cannot sign National Letters of Intent.

Daniel Bucknavich - Cleveland State

Lindsey Frambach - Rider

Jonny Manning - Lake Erie

Natalie Maver - Seton Hill
