History:
Built in 1955, the school originally functioned as the High School. In the late 70’s the concept of “Middle School” was emerging, to provide a transition for students between the Elementary and High School years. By 1977 the school’s status was established as a Middle School.
Did You Know?
Three additions to the original building have formed a courtyard at the center of the building.
Core Curriculum:
English, Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art, Music (Instrumental and Vocal), Physical Education, and the Unified Arts (Industrial Arts, Computers, Family Living Skills).
Special Programs:
D.D., L.D., Talented and Gifted, and Speech.
Honor Roll:
Students who attain a 3.5 GPA for the 9 weeks grading period will be placed on the Honor Roll for that grading period.
Merit Roll:
Students who attain a 3.0 GPA for the 9 weeks grading period will be placed on the Merit Roll for that grading period.
