Middie Academy

Admission

Students may be eligible to attend the Middie Academy if they have not shown adequate progress towards graduation. This may include students who do not have enough credits to be considered grade appropriate, students who have failed courses required for graduation, or those lacking the points necessary to graduate. Only school administration can recommend a student for the Middie Academy program.

If accepted into the program, students and parents will be required to meet (virtually or in person) with the Coordinator of Support Services and school counselor to review academic history and develop an individualized plan. A list of required courses will be provided to students and parents during the admission process.

Students can be removed from the program if adequate progress is not being demonstrated, as well as for attendance and behavioral issues. Removal will not occur prior to meetings with parents and students to discuss options. Each student will be afforded the opportunity to receive tutoring and assistance from content area teachers to ensure success.

Middie Academy has two in-person sessions.

The Trailer where the Academy is housed is open between the hours of 7:00 - 2:30 on weekdays.
