District Testing & Assessment
Student progress is assessed in many ways in the classroom, such as teacher observation, class assignments, progress monitoring, projects, writing samples, and tests.
In addition to teacher-created assessments, the District uses Ohio's State tests, which are mandated by the Ohio Department of Education and nationally-normed standardized tests to assess student progress.
The District has developed an assessment plan to meet the needs of state and federal mandates, as well district initiatives. The following links will provide more information about the various type of assessments found within our plan.
Additional Testing Information
Students attending Midview Local School District have the opportunity to be recommended for gifted screening. Students may be identified as gifted in the area of superior cognitive ability, academic ability, creativity, and/or visual performing arts. If you feel your child may meet the criteria as established by the State Department of Education and the Midview Local School District, please complete the following questionnaire no later than Friday, Jan. 9, 2024.
