The Scholastic Art Awards program is the nation's largest annual art competition, receiving more than 150,000 student submissions each year. Locally, the Lorain County Regional Scholastic Art Exhibition recognizes outstanding visual art from students in grades 7-12 across Lorain, Erie, and Huron counties.
This year, over 1,600 works of art were submitted, with 550 selected for exhibition—including an impressive 36 works by Midview students.
Our Middie artists earned 20 honorable mentions, 6 Silver Keys, and 11 Gold Keys. All Gold Key recipients will advance to the national competition in New York City this spring, where they will compete alongside top student artists from across the United States.
Please join us in congratulating the following award recipients, and be sure to check out some of their amazing artwork below or in person at LCCC's Beth K. Stocker Arts Center Gallery from January 12-February 10!
