Midview Local Schools is pleased to share that the district has been awarded a grant of more than $10,000 from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW) to support the installation of advanced collision-avoidance and safety technology on our school buses.
Once installed across our fleet, the new technology will support our drivers by reducing blind spots and providing real-time alerts about potential hazards. Given the many miles Midview buses travel each day on busy roads and highways, these added safety measures provide an important layer of protection for students and drivers alike.
Student safety—especially when it comes to transportation—is non-negotiable. Any opportunity to upgrade our bus fleet with advanced safety technology through grant funding, at no cost to the district, is one we simply could not pass up. This investment supports our drivers and, most importantly, helps keep our students safe every day.
Midview Local Schools remains committed to being proactive and responsible in all aspects of student safety. Securing grant funding like this allows the district to continue improving services while being mindful of taxpayer dollars and district resources.
We are grateful for the support of ODEW and proud to continue investing in solutions that prioritize the safety and well-being of our Middies—on every route, every day!
