On February 18, 2026, the Midview Local School District Board of Education met in regular session to appoint Director of Pupil Services Meredith Udris as interim superintendent, effective February 19, 2026.
Udris brings more than 14 years of experience in education, all of which have been spent at Midview. Since 2023, she has served as Director of Pupil Services and as a member of the district’s leadership team, overseeing special education programming and guiding the district’s social-emotional, psychological, and nursing services. Prior to this role, Udris served as principal of Midview East Intermediate, assistant principal at Midview Middle School, district special education coordinator, and intervention specialist at Midview High School.
“Meredith is a great educator whom I have been fortunate to know and work alongside for several years,” said Board of Education President Tom Tomasheski. “She knows our people and our district well. We are committed to maintaining our daily operations, and Meredith will provide important continuity during this transition. We are confident she has the qualities necessary to continue the positive direction of our district.”
Udris resides in Westlake with her husband, Ryan, and their two children: Makenna, who will be two in April, and Connor, who is four and a half years old.
The Board of Education will begin its search for the district’s next superintendent immediately and will communicate updates to the community when appropriate.
