Midview Celebrates Staff Appreciation Week with Community Support

Midview Local Schools is proud to celebrate Staff Appreciation Week, May 4–8, recognizing the incredible individuals who make a difference in the lives of students each and every day. From classrooms to cafeterias, buses to main offices, our staff members are the heart of Midview—and this week is dedicated to showing our gratitude.

The success of this week would not be possible without the overwhelming support of our local business community. Nearly every aspect of our celebrations has been made possible by the generosity of 87 businesses (listed below) that partnered with us to create a memorable week for our team. 

Throughout the week, staff will enjoy a variety of themed celebrations and lunch from Pita Way (Elyria):

  • Monday, May 4 | Cookies, Caffeine, & Chaos: Staff will kick off the week with sweet treats and an extra boost of Biggby Coffee (Griswold Rd, Elyria), along with hidden prize tickets placed throughout each building for a little added fun.

  • Tuesday, May 5 | Popcorn & a Movie: Staff will enjoy popcorn from Regal Cinemas (Cobblestone Plaza)  while watching special videos featuring messages from students.

  • Wednesday, May 6 | Midweek Float Break: The team will enjoy build-your-own ice cream and soda floats sponsored by PEPSI and Walmart.

  • Thursday, May 7 | Prize Palooza: The highlight of the week–more than 400 prizes donated by local businesses will be raffled off throughout the day.

  • Friday, May 8 | Snack Cart Express: Principals and supervisors will travel through their buildings and departments delivering treats and personal thanks to staff members.

In addition to these celebrations, Midview families and community members are invited to join in the appreciation. Each school building has a Staff Shout-Out Form available, providing an opportunity to share a message of thanks or recognition for a staff member who has made a difference. 

As we celebrate Staff Appreciation Week, we are reminded that the strength of our schools comes from the people within them—and the community that stands behind them.

Thank you to our Midview staff for all that you do, and to our community for helping us celebrate them in such a meaningful way. A special thank you is also owed to Michelle Mitchell, East Intermediate Academic Math Tutor; Tammie Skender, Accounts Receivable; and Jennifer Gates, Coordinator of Student Supports, for their work in organizing and coordinating the 2026 Midview Staff Appreciation Week.
