Meredith Udris, Assistant Superintendent

The Midview Local Schools Board of Education is proud to announce the appointment of current Interim Superintendent and Director of Pupil Services Meredith Udris as the district’s next Assistant Superintendent, effective August 1, 2026. Her appointment will be formally approved during the Board of Education meeting on May 20 at 6 p.m. at Midview Middle School.

“Meredith has been a star in the making throughout her time at Midview,” said Board of Education President Tom Tomasheski. “She has continued to rise through the ranks because of her leadership, work ethic, and commitment to our students and staff. When our district needed her most, she didn’t hesitate to answer the call and did an outstanding job serving as interim superintendent. That experience just reinforced what we already knew—that she was ready for this next step. We felt it was only right to recognize that by expanding her leadership role within the district. She is incredibly deserving of this opportunity, and we’re excited to see her continue in this role.”

Udris has dedicated all 14 years of her educational career to Midview Local Schools, serving in a variety of roles across the district. She began her career as an intervention specialist at Midview High School before serving as district special education coordinator, assistant principal at Midview Middle School, principal of Midview East Intermediate, and, since 2023, Director of Pupil Services.

In her current role, Udris oversees the district’s special education programming while also leading Midview’s social-emotional, psychological, and nursing services. Over the past several months, she has additionally served as interim superintendent, helping guide the district through a period of transition.

“I am extremely honored to continue serving the district in this new role and to support our administrators and staff as we build on the growth and success of Midview Local Schools,” said Udris. “Professionally, this opportunity allows me to continue working alongside our dedicated staff, students, families, and community to ensure every student has the support and opportunities they need to succeed.”

“Personally, it is very meaningful to continue giving back to a district and community that I care deeply about and am proud to serve. The trust and support I have received throughout my 14 years in the district are the reasons Midview has remained my professional home. I am truly grateful for the opportunities I have had to grow as an educator and leader, the mentorship I have received along the way, and the confidence the Board of Education has placed in me to serve in this role.”

As assistant superintendent, Udris will continue overseeing pupil services while also serving alongside incoming Superintendent Chad Heuser in a broader district leadership role focused on supporting students, staff, and district operations.

“I have the utmost respect for Meredith’s leadership at Midview,” said incoming Superintendent Chad Heuser. “Her growth as a leader during her time in the district has been evident, and she is highly respected by our staff. Watching her step into and succeed in the interim superintendent role has been incredibly encouraging as I transition into the central office. I look forward to working alongside her in this next chapter of district leadership.”

Udris resides in Westlake with her husband, Ryan, and their two children: Makenna, who turned two in April, and Connor, who is almost five years old.
