Midview High School has been recognized among U.S. News & World Report’s Best High Schools, ranking in the top 16% of nearly 18,000 high schools nationwide and more than 700 high schools in Ohio. Midview ranks #2,819 in the U.S. and #114 in all of Ohio. Just five years ago, Midview ranked #5,628 nationally and #206 in Ohio.

“We’re proud of the work our teachers and staff are doing to prepare our students for their futures,” said Superintendent Chad Heuser. “National recognition like this is an honor, but more importantly, it reflects the commitment of our students and the people who work with them every day. We continue to see our students and staff demonstrate the drive and dedication that make this kind of recognition possible. Our community should be proud of what this says about the work happening at Midview High School.”

U.S. News & World Report publishes its Best High Schools rankings annually, evaluating schools based on a range of academic indicators. The rankings are produced in partnership with RTI International, a global research firm, which means U.S. News does not collect information directly from schools. Instead, the publication receives data from the College Board and International Baccalaureate, state assessment data, and the U.S. Department of Education Common Core of Data.

Schools are ranked on factors such as college readiness; reading, math and science proficiency and performance; underserved student performance; college curriculum breadth; and graduation rates. Midview High School has a 95% graduation rate, exceeding the state average.

The recognition adds to a growing list of accomplishments Midview High School is proud to have earned in recent years.
