Midview Middle School ended the year with its Academic Awards Ceremony, which recognizes 7th and 8th-grade students for their academic excellence, personal growth, involvement, and outstanding character throughout the school year.

Academic Awards & Merit Recognition: Students were presented with award certificates featuring colored seals representing each quarter’s achievement: gold for straight A’s, silver for a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and bronze for a GPA between 3.0 and 3.49. Each student was recognized for their overall GPA for the year.

A total of 107 7th grade students and 116 8th grade students received this recognition.

Involvement Awards: Students were also recognized for their participation and leadership in school clubs and extracurricular activities.

Character Awards: Each teacher nominated one student for outstanding character. These individuals consistently demonstrated kindness, leadership, integrity, and a spirit of service, positively impacting peers and staff and contributing to a positive school culture.

Presidential Awards: Two national honors, presented on behalf of the President of the United States, were also awarded to 8th-grade students.

  • The Presidential Award for Academic Excellence recognizes students who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and demonstrated proficiency on the 7th-grade Ohio State Tests in both Reading and Math. These students exemplify high academic performance and serve as role models within the school community.

  • The Presidential Award for Academic Achievement recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding growth, perseverance, and commitment to their learning. These students have worked consistently to overcome challenges and show academic progress over time.
