As we head into the weekend, Midview Local Schools is preparing for a significant winter storm expected to impact our area through early next week. Forecasts are calling for heavy snowfall, extremely cold temperatures, and hazardous travel conditions, compounded by limited road treatment due to a regional salt shortage. In response to these conditions, and following the Governor's declaration of a statewide emergency, we are taking proactive steps to ensure the safety of our community.

The Midview campus will close at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and will remain closed until Monday morning. During this closure, all campus areas including parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks must remain clear to allow for snow removal and maintenance. Only essential Midview personnel will be permitted on campus during this time to maintain buildings and grounds.

We ask all students, staff, and community members to avoid campus during this closure period and to prioritize safety by limiting unnecessary travel.

A determination regarding school for Monday will be made Sunday afternoon. Please continue to monitor our official communication channels, including email, phone notifications, our website, and district social media, as we will provide timely updates.
